Richard F. (Francis) Hujsa (April 14, 1934 – November 25, 2019)

This venerable gentleman of eight decades was very well known by restoration Gunmakers; collectors within the Kentucky Rifle Association; students of the flintlock rifle at Jacobsburg Historical Society; and legions of builders that he mentored. Hujsa exhibited and judged rifles and accoutrements at every one of the 30-plus Gunmakers Fairs at Dixons Muzzleloading Gun Shop, Kempton. He was an active craftsman for 20-plus years at the JHS Kutztown Folk Festival exhibit tent. Rich assisted Dave Ehrig’s Continuing Education Course on building the Pennsylvania Flintlock Long Rifle building at Muhlenberg College; later continuing rifle building classes in the basement of the Pennsylvania Long Rifle Museum at Boulton, PA
